5 things to do to make yourself happy

So, since I did those three big Glastonbury posts last week, I thought I would do a shorter post this week. Here are 5 things to do to make yourself happy on these summer days...
1) Watch a funny TV show/Movie: I can't think of anything better than watching a funny TV show and/or movie to make yourself feel 10 times better. Curling up in bed, with some snack, and an alcoholic beverage, or tea depending on how bad your day went. If it was me I would watch Superbad, The Mighty Boosh, the IT crowd, or The Hangover.
2) Phone a friend or family member: Whenever I feel upset or down I know that I can always turn to my friends and family. Just venting to them, or even making them distract you from your worries, will seriously make you feel so much better than just being on your own and letting things get bottled up inside of you.
3) Make a list of all of the reasons to be happy: I know this is long winded and maybe not something you may be into, but I know that I love myself a list. So I would get an A4 piece of paper and split it into two columns; reasons to be sad and reasons to be happy. Write down all the reasons you believe you should be happy and the same for your sad column. I guarantee that your happy column will probably outweigh your sad column, and this will give you a renewed energy to carry on being happy.
4) Go for a nap: Sometimes napping is a dangerous business- nap too long and you wake up feeling like shit, but wake up at the perfect time and you feel completely renewed. It's said that 43 minutes perfect napping time, so maybe get into bed, close the blinds, and snuggle down for a 43 minute nap. When you wake up you will feel calmer and renewed, and ready to face your issues head on in a better way than if you were upset.
5) Finally find someone to hug: I don't just mean a random person, I mean someone you actually know. All I know is that when I'm upset I just want a hug from my mummy, so I would find a family member and just give them a hug. You will definitely feel 100% better.
