Exam Results Meltdown

So I know that exam results are coming up soon, some are even this week, and so I thought that everyone would be kind of stressed and panicking (I know that I am!!!!). Because of this I thought that I would give you 5 really good ways to relax and stop stressing about those results. It’s just paper guys…

  • Take a nice hot bath: I know that nothing makes me feel better than when I am relaxing in a nice warm bath, with a book, maybe some music, a candle perhaps, and maybe even a face mask. Just completely de-stressing, and calming your mind will do wonders. Just focus on the way the water feels on your skin, or the words of the book you are reading, or even the meaning behind the words that are being sung in the song you are listening to. Granted it only gives you an hour or so of escape, but still. Those few minutes or hours will mean everything when you’ve been stressing for days.

  • Talk to friends: I know that sometimes family don’t quite get why your stressing so much over your exam results, or maybe they are putting more pressure on you. That is why I would recommend talking to your friends instead. Either they will be in the same boat as you, or will completely understand because they’ve already been through it. Just chatting to your friends about the exams or about how you’re feeling will seriously help put your mind at ease. Or even better is just completely forgetting about the exams and chatting about something else completely. Those few hours of mindless gossip will seriously help you so much as you will feel relief at thinking about something other than exams.

  • Go out. Either go out with friends shopping or go out drinking either way the result is the same. It may seem like a good idea to go out and get so shitfaced you can’t even remember your own name; but don’t do that. If you do go out to drink make sure it’s just enough to make you feel some relief and have some fun, but not so much that you end up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped. Likewise it may seem wise to go out and spend all your money on clothes you will never wear but don’t. Go out and just enjoy being with some friends, give yourself a little treat, and just think about how hot you will look in your new outfit.

  • Think happy. Thinking happy and positive thoughts may seem like an easy thing to do, but lord knows it’s harder than it seems. But thinking about all things positive will really put your mind at ease. Go on Tumblr and just read some inspirational quotes, they will seriously make you feel better and happier about your life.

  • Finally just have a nap. Nothing makes you feel better than having a nap and just forgetting the world, and drifting off to dream land. When you wake up you will feel refreshed and happy and forget about everything you had been stressed about.

So there you go, 5 things I really hope will make you feel less stressed about the impending exam results. At the end of the day just think it’s a piece of paper, and no matter that the result you can always alter your future. I hope you get the grades you want though… good luck
