What did I do summer 2015?

So because I did my final three festival posts for this year last week I thought, to close the summer, I would wind down with this post.

So at the beginning of the summer I wrote a post saying that every time I would do something during my summer holiday I would write it down on a scrap of paper and put it in a jar. So I did it and here are some of the top 5 things I did during with my time…

Went to the cinema: I have a job at the cinema, which I actually got during the summer, and because of it I get 2 free cinema tickets every week. This has made me go to the cinema a lot more and I love it! It sounds so simple just going the cinema, but seriously I have loved seeing new films every week. There are some great new ones out there, and even more amazing ones to come. Some of my recommendations include Trainwreck (which I blogged about a couple of weeks ago), Inside Out, and The Bad Education Movie. I’m predicting my future faves to include The Intern, Me Earl and the Dying Girl, and Hitman. On occasions though going to the cinema wasn’t even how I watched my film- the classic Netflix and chill is still a thing. I had some friends round, Netflix, got some snack in, and the day was sorted. There is nothing better than just having a chill in-day with your friends, and sometimes it’s needed.

Went out for dinner: Sometimes it’s just nice to go out for a nice meal. It gets boring staying in for dinner every day and so going out makes a nice change. I went out for many meals this summer with friends as well as family, and enjoyed it every time. It’s really nice to go out with your family and friends and just sit down, enjoy a meal, and really talk about what’s been going on in your life. Also I got to experience Prezzos for the first time which was amazing. If you haven’t been there yet I highly recommend it, although make sure you have a lot of money with you.

Chilled with friends: Some of my summer just consisted of going out with my friends. Sometimes to nowhere in particular, but just hanging out together. One of my friends keeps her horses at Harringworth stables and I got the opportunity to go and see her in a horse show- I think that was one of the best things I did this summer. Doing unexpected and spontaneous things with friends is what they are there for, so use it to your advantage. But even just having a sleepover or pamper night was just as fun as the times I did crazy shit like go to horse shows. Getting that balance was good and healthy for not just me, but my friendships.

Went out for costa: Something important you should know about me is that I love a costa. I have literally spent over £100 on costa just this year, and have no regrets over that. I love a coffee. So going to costa with both friends and family is something I love doing, the same as going out for a meal. This summer alone I know I went at least once a week and loved it. I find costa a great place to just chill, spend some time catching up with your friends and family, and it’s also not as expensive as going out for a meal. 10/10 great place.

Went out for drinks: And finally just going out for drinks is something I have loved doing. Going out and getting drunk is something I think people need. Letting out some steam, probably doing things that will make you cringe in the morning, and having a good ol party is needed in a person’s life. So yeah go out and do it.

I know this post was short, but hopefully you enjoyed it, and I will post again next week.
