Before I start the actual post I am so sorry for my late blogging (again) this week. I have been really busy with school and work so just didn’t have time to fit it in so I’m really sorry about that. Anyway on with the post…
So this week I thought I would tell you some of my recent beauty favourites.
Earlier on in the week I had a major crisis; I was putting on my makeup and realised I had run out of foundation (I know, every girls worst nightmare!). I had to, obviously, make a quick pit stop at Boots, which is when I came across my first beauty favourite. I normally use Rimmel London foundation anyway so I know that it’s good for me and my skin type, but I thought that I would try their new match perfection foundation. Personally I wear ivory because my skin is quite light, and sometimes even that is too dark for me, but seriously I love this foundation. It gives such great coverage (which is good for me considering I am so spotty) and also comes with a 20 SPF so it will protect your skin from the sun. I seriously recommend it if you are looking for good coverage but a light feeling foundation. http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-London-Match-Perfection-Foundation_1727619/
Next up is bronzer. Now I am relatively new to the makeup game and so I have only used one bronzer before my new one (Miss Sporty oh tan so fine), however I will say I have noticed a difference in my makeup since switching. My old bronzer was good and did the job of giving me a bronzed look but only to a certain extent, so I thought a change was in order when I started to see pan. Now I use Barry M afterglow light bronzer and it has done wonders. I am not one who really likes looking overly bronzed and so am very cautious when it comes to buying bronzers, however I have had no difficulty with this one. When you first put it on your brush it may seem like there isn’t much on there but when you apply it you will realise there is just enough to give you that perfectly bronzed look you want. It feels so silky on your skin, and you can chose between afterglow for a lighter bronze, or deep glow for those who want a bit of a darker tone. http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Glow-Bronzer-15g_1669780/
Sticking with the face theme for this week blush is next. I have always been a little bit weary when it comes to blush because I am always scared of coming out looking like a 3 year old who has been playing with their mother’s makeup; but I am pretty sure that I have found the perfect solution for people like me. Makeup Revolution have proved, once again, that you can get great makeup for a cheap price. Their blusher is amazing for people who are perhaps just starting out in makeup, or who are like me and don’t want to go daringly with their blush. I use the shade Treat which is quite a lightish pinky red colour but look so good when applied lightly on the apples of the cheek. At only £1 it’s not exactly breaking the bank and, as long as applied lightly, looks fabulous on all skin types. I most definitely recommend it. http://www.superdrug.com/Makeup-Revolution/Makeup-Revolution-Powder-Blusher-Treat/p/977563?singleResultSearchPage=true#
Finally if you want to properly apply all of these beauty products of course you need a decent set of brushes to use. Now I know that technique brushes are supposedly the best, but who wants to fork out £20+ for some brushes (not me), so I found a set for half the price that work just as well. SONGQEE brushes from Amazon are only £7.99, come in a set of 5 full length brushes, and include a foundation, blusher, and powder brush. They are super soft and feel great when applying makeup as well as give a smooth and clean finish to any look. If you’re looking for some cheap brushes that are worth the money and give a good finish I would recommend these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IUGPJBQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
So I hope you enjoyed this post and I will post again next Friday (hopefully)
