The moon, Triangles, and Noel Fielding

Shall we do another gig review for the laughs? I promise that, sadly for me, this will be the last gig review for this year! I am clean out of gigs to go to and am severely suffering from PGD (Post Gig Depression), so be nice.

So now is the turn for Mr Noel Fielding to be reviewed.

I have to say that I was incredibly nervous to see Noel, not because I thought he was going to be really bad, but because I’ve watched The Boosh since I was about 13, and then seen luxury comedy, and so was expecting a lot from him. Of course he delivered though. He was hilarious to the point where my head and jaw hurt simultaneously from literally LOLing.

If you don’t know who Noel Fielding is I seriously suggest that you look him up. First and foremost go and check out The Mighty Boosh (it’s on Netflix) because that will give you the perfect opportunity to see exactly how whimsical ol Fielding is. After The Boosh watch his own show (should be on 4OD) Luxury Comedy, which he wrote on his own. This will add to the confusion you will feel after watching The Boosh and probably make you feel like your high and in some parallel universe- but that’s why I love him.

I bet you want to know about the performance now don’t you? Well I would definitely see him again. He performed the funniest show I think he could possibly do and really brought back my absolute love for all things strange and slightly deluded. He really is one of those comics where anything he says is funny. Plus he’s 42 and looks about 30 so the fountain of youth definitely worked!

Not only was Noel on stage but he bought along some friends. His brother (Mike Fielding) and Luxury Comedy partner (Tom Meeten), plus The Moon (watch The Boosh to know) all made appearances in many comic characters that added to the theatrics Noel so meticulously put together. He really made his show as rich as he could with comedy, music, and overall entertainment- I mean he was married to his brother who had sex with a triangle! (He thinks an isosceles but he only got a glance).

Seriously though if you want a good laugh that will make you feel better about life than go and see Noel Fielding. His whimsical, fantasy, frankly trippy humour will have you feeling good in seconds. I am so thankful to have seen my boy from The Boosh live- and hopefully you will be to.

A quick word of caution- you may never drink tea again!!!
