MERRY BLOGMAS DAY 18!!!
So far all of my blogmas posts have been pretty impersonal; so here is a more personal post for you. Cast your eyes on the 10 things I love about Christmas…
Spending time with family- Obviously the best thing about Christmas is seeing your family. I know every year my family will all be round, getting pissed at 10 in the morning, having deep discussions on how they will each cook Christmas dinner, and generally having a hoot.
The food- A close second to family for me, the food is always a highlight. I’m not just talking about the turkey either (which will always be immense) but I’m talking boxes of heroes and celebrations, a chocolate orange, and everyone’s favourite classic- the yule log. It’s the one time of year you can eat anything you want at any time of year, so why not go all out?!
Alcohol- I mean it was really a toss-up between this and food for second place. Like I mentioned with family, there is nothing better than getting pissed at 10 in the morning, having a nap when you get in, and then starting again around 1. You feel like a right alcoholic by the end of it but it’s a right laugh isn’t it!
Decorations- Even before Christmas, on the 1st December, there is nothing I love more than getting the Christmas decs out. Transforming your ordinary home into a winter wonderland, complete with stuffed Santa’s and snowmen, and enough mistletoe to keep any talker busy. It just makes me happy to start that countdown to Christmas surrounded by the happiest ornaments and furnishings the Poundshop can offer.
TV- I suppose you could say it’s the one time of year where the TV is actually half decent! You’ve got some cracking films on (both festive and not) and don’t even get me started on all the Christmas specials! Look forward to special UK festive TV guide coming up on Blogmas…
