So, as it’s approaching the end of January I thought that it would be incredibly appropriate to enlighten you on my January faves!
Soap and Glory- My first one is sort of a 3 in 1 as it comes courtesy of Soap and Glory. For Christmas my sister thought it would be funny to get me a limited edition S&G set because it came in a popcorn shaped washbag and I work at a cinema (HAHAHAHAHA isn’t she just a cracker). Despite my sister’s obvious talents as a comedian, she is good at picking beauty products; and she certainly didn’t go wrong this time. My personal favourites include the ‘original pink body spray’, ‘righteous butter’, and the ‘clean on me’ body wash. They just smell so clean and fresh, and they do wonders for your skin, making it feel soft and smooth. You can’t really go wrong.

Blossoms- I know I’ve already written you a post about Blossoms so I won’t go on too much. They are my new favourite band of 2016 and have seriously set themselves up for an amazing year. I suggest listening to their new single ‘At Most A Kiss’, as well as ‘Blown Rose’, so you can make your minds up yourselves, but I guarantee that if you like bands like Catfish & The Bottlemen then you will love Blossoms.

Matte nail varnish- I know that I’m a little late to hop on the matte nails bandwagon, but I have so deal with it. I am so obsessed with how good these nail varnishes are!!! They dry so quickly when you put them on, and once they do you get great coverage in just one coat. I used New Look’s own ’08 light grey’ at only £2.99 as a starter of such and have only grown more in love since then. If you want good coverage and fast drying nails matte is definitely for you, and New Looks own are as good, and cheaper, as any.

Bojack Horseman- I suppose this is more of a December thing tbh but I only just finished it in January so it still counts right? Well regardless this TV show will legit change your life!!! It’s a cartoon following a washed up 90’s sitcom star (voiced by Will Arnett) who is a man with the head of a horse, and is going through a mid-life crisis, just trying to survive in the modern world. If that didn’t sell it to you than I don’t know what will! It mixes comedy and surrealism with issues relevant to every 21st Century life making it a hilarious hit that will appeal to pretty much everyone. As long as you have Netflix you’re set to go and have a laugh for 30 minutes of your life.

The Danish Girl- My favourite movie of January has definitely been this one. The Danish Girl follows the true story of the first transgender woman in 1926 as he turns to she. The story is a ground-breaking one, and I sincerely hope that it brings attention to the fact that transgender people are to be taken seriously and not shown prejudice to- they are still normal people, they’ve just been born into the wrong body. If you’re looking for a touching, greatly important and relevant, film to see than The Danish Girl is definitely for you.
I hope you enjoyed reading my January faves, and I will be back in February to share more favourites with you.
