Happy 1st February 2016!!! (That’s a thing right?) Now that we’ve officially reached the end of January it’s time for me to do my first round up of last month, and set some goals for this month.
So, on January 1st I revealed that I was 13 stone 1 pound and was intent on going to the gym, exercising more, and eating healthier. I can now say that I am 12 stone 11 pounds, and have therefore lost 4 pounds. I’m happy with this loss, but I do wish it was more- I’m aiming for 7 pounds a month that I clearly haven’t lost. But a loss is a loss at the end of the day.
I can say however that I have been going to the gym twice a week, and largely eating healthier. But I still have some goals to set for February, and here they are…
Exercise more: I already go to the gym twice a week, but I also want to start doing other forms of exercising. To start this I’ve decided to start walking home from school/work and see how that goes, before I take up more forms- I want to start dancing!!!
Drink more green tea: I already favour coffee over tea anyway so this may be hard. Green tea has a lot of benefits when it comes to being healthy including helping you sleep and detoxing your body. It is these reasons that I want to start drinking it more often instead of normal tea or coffee- god help me.
Cut down of takeaways: I know I’m preaching healthy eating on these fitness posts but here me out- Friday’s are dedicated to Chinese, always have been and always will be so there’s no way in hell that treat is leaving. BUT I do need to stop ordering takeaways when I get home on a Sunday morning from a night out- I’m seriously the worst for it. I think this may be the reason for my lack of weight loss last month!
So there are just 3 goals I want to achieve by the end of February that I can take with me into March. I hope you’ve maintained motivation and tackled January head on, and if not there’s always February.
