February Favourites

So it’s the end of another month (happy leap year everybody btw!!!) and therefore time for another monthly favourites post.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt- Like last month’s TV favourite (Bojack
Horeseman) this has been on Netflix for a while but is something I’ve only just finished watching. It follows the life of a woman (Erin from The Office US) as she is released from a cult and living in New York. It’s hilariously funny but sentimental at the same time, and something you will not be able to stop watching! At 20 minutes an episode and only 13 episodes in the season I managed to watch the whole thing in under a week! Seriously addictive!

Handmade Burger- As you will know I went to Birmingham to see Fatherson earlier in the month, and while there I experienced the burger of a lifetime. Handmade Burger was something I’d only read about in books (not true it was the internet) and something I believed to be a myth; until I experienced it first-hand. All the burgers are freshly made and 100% taste it, and if you’re a student you get an added Monday bonus with 30% off. I strongly recommend the Mexican burger with onion rings and sweet potato fries. Seriously good.

Leggings- I have recently gotten back in touch with my old friend leggings this month. I sort of forgot about them after the 2010 phase of jeggings and the such, and moved onto the more sophisticated jeans phase of 2012. However, after a jaunt over to H&M on a dreary Friday, I rediscovered leggings and have never looked back. They are just so comfortable!!!! After coming home from a hard day of school or work the only thing you want is the freedom that comes with putting on some form of legwear that doesn’t make you look lazy (PJ bottoms) or uncomfortable (jeans), the prefect solution? LEGGINGS!!
The 1975- I feel like my blog is just a dedication to the 1975 sometimes, LOL! But they deserve to be on my February favourites list. They have just released their brand new, much anticipated, second album, I Love It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It (or ILIWYSFYASBYSUOI if you want to save some space) and it is amazing. I will do a review of the whole thing soon, but for now just be reassured with its amazing. It’s so completely different from their first album yet somehow stays true to the essence of The 1975. Definitely something to listen to.

Deadpool- The most recent superhero film has been released and fuck me it’s amazing. I never expected Ryan Reynolds to be as good as a superhero because I seriously doubted his comedic timing and ability to fit the role, but I was pleasantly surprised. He is amazing in the role, and this is clearly something he has committed fully to. It’s hilariously funny with some dark undertones, but is so worth the watch. Even if you’re not a massive superhero fan it’s still worth going to see, purely for Ryan Reynolds minus his top.
