What’s tea got to do with it?

Weight Watch: So this is the first week for me not having a weight check to give you! In terms of not watching the scales though I’m going strong. Granted it’s only been a week, but I feel really good about my progress and maintaining the hope of losing that 5 pounds by the end of the month.

This week I want to tell you the T (not the drag term T). Its obvs important to drink water when maintaining a healthy lifestyle, however when you want to spice it up a little bit and venture out from just plain water, tea is an excellent alternative, and here is why:

Green tea: Although it may look like gone-off wee in a mug there is one major benefit to drinking green tea- metabolism speed. In a 2011 study it was found that if you drank green tea whilst eating a high fat diet then you would gain weight slower than if you didn’t drink the tea. Moral of the story- drink wee looking tea.

Builder’s tea: The classic British delicacy of a good builders brew not only tastes amazing, but also makes you look younger! Apparently your classic brew inhibits wrinkle production by strengthening elastin and collagen, resulting in wrinkle-free skin for you! Double benefits.

Black tea: I’m not really that fond of tea without milk, but it does have its benefits. It can lower your stress levels, as well as blood levels, therefore lowering your chances of blowing your top. It may not taste the best, but the benefits are worth it.

Oolong tea: Don’t you just love tea’s that sound posh? Not only does a good cup of oolong make you sound like some kind of Chelsea socialite, but it can also reduce blood sugar. What’s not to love about it?

So I think we can all draw one strong conclusion from this post today- let’s put the kettle on!!!!
